The Anime

© All rights reserved The adventures of Tara Duncan have been adapted as an Anime by Moonscoop, directed by Eric BASTIER, with the participation of Sophie AUDOUIN-MAMIKONIAN.

Tara would be a teenager like any other if she did not have magic powers. Sometimes it's a good thing, because they save her life, but most often it's a bad thing since she can't master them all the time and prevent her to lead a normal life...

With her friends Cal and Moineau, and under the authority of Maître Chem, they form the Alpha team whose aim is to track down Semchanachs, renegade wizards come on Earth from AutreMonde.

Protecting this secret and fighting power thirsty vampires, undestructible zombies and voracious werewolves are part of Tara's daily missions…

On the channel M6 from September 2010.

Biography

Born in 1961, Sophie AUDOUIN-MAMIKONIAN was raised mostly by her grand-parents, with a lot of sweets and chosen readings (Dumas, Hugo, Corneille and Molière...). But this smart education was perverted when her step-father made her discover science fiction...

At twelve, stuck in bed because of an appendicitis, Sophie started to write fantasy. Since then, she has never. She writes Tara Duncan between 1987 and 1990 but is published only in 2003, when magic gets fashionable thanks to Harry Potter. To this day, 600 000 copies of the adventures of the young witch have been sold in France.
