Introduction
Since 1996, AIR, Association Isépienne de Robotique (ISEP’s robotics club), takes part every year in the French Robotics Championship, an event which brings together almost 200 teams.
Hidden in some corner of ISEP (engineer school in computer science, electronics, telecom and networks), AIR designs, builds and assembles their robots.
The French Robotics Championship
The French Robotics Championship, organized by Planète Sciences, has been taking place for 10 years: every year a new event is organized, usually on a sport theme.
Every year a new challenge is organized on a sport theme: competing robots fight in duel for one minute and a half. After that, the teams fight five qualification matches. At the end of those matches, the best 16 fight together until there remains only one winner. For the last few years, the contestants of the French Robotics Championship have also qualified for the Eurobot championship in which about 15 countries fight together.
